Middlemoreanae4thyear

The attachment starts for everyone with a day of teaching at Mercy hospitals clinical skills centre. You learn some basic stuff about ECGs, airways, etc.

The next day, everyone goes to middlemore to meet the coordinator, Graeme Morton. He assigns you your timetable. You have to do 14 half day 'shifts' over the 8 days, and some are meant to be nights.

At each shift, ask the anaesthetic coordinator for that day about which theatres to go to… If you get the choice, try to pick a theatre where the planned operations are short - that way there will be more to do (from an Anaesthetics point of view - faster turn over means more patients to anaesthetise….)
